Recent Security Improvements Have Impacted Some Members
Improvements to increase our network security caused some members to have difficulty accessing Online Banking.
This week, BECU made improvements to the security of our network. We did this to increase our security posture and further protect our members and their data. While we accomplished that, we unfortunately also caused some frustration.
The software and firewall adjustments we made tightened things just a little too much; in essence, we ended up locking some of our members out of Online Banking.
As soon as we discovered our members were having difficulty accessing Online Banking, our team began working to identify where we needed to make adjustments. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this interruption. While our members' security is of the utmost importance to us, it is never our intention to disrupt access to your money or the financial services you depend on us to provide.
Going forward, we will attempt to inform you on social media ahead of time when we are making changes that may impact your experience. Please accept our sincere apologies and thank you for banking with BECU. We value your business and our relationship with you.
