How long have you been a BECU member?

My years with BECU span decades, long before I worked at Boeing. My father was a pilot in WWII and Vietnam. He always said Boeing built the finest and safest airplane in the world. He expressed his belief in the integrity of the company and the aircraft he knew so well during the war.

What do you love most about BECU?

What I love most about BECU is the profound difference in my experience with ALL aspects of speaking with representatives to address all my needs. From insurance to equity lines of credit inquiries, and general banking, when I talk to a representative, it's as though I've known them forever. They engage in my questions, concerns, and support me just like family. That's stellar!

If you could retire anywhere, where would it be?

If I could live anywhere in the world, my choice would be diverse. I would spend the Spring, and early Summer in Paris followed by late Summer in my family home of Seattle progressing to Fall, and finally the Big Island in Hawaii because I lived in the islands for many years in the late '60s through late '70s as a Vietnam war bride.

If you had to eat one meal, every day, for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I would eat life - not have life eat me - Life is food, and each one of us has the extraordinary opportunity to choose what life will look like and be - by believing in oneself.

What has been the best piece of financial advice you have ever received?

The best piece of financial advice I've ever received was to venture forth boldly, based on what you believe is in your personal best interest, because BECU is standing with you to guide you to your vision. True story!
