Why no tellers at our Neighborhood Financial Centers?
We want to return as much value to our members as possible. One way we do this is by lowering the cost of banking—this is why our Neighborhood Financial Centers do not handle cash. We've invested in technology and
self-service tools so most routine transactions can be done via ATMs or online. This allows our consultants to focus on providing high-level personalized service.
What can you do at a BECU Neighborhood Financial Center?

Who Can Become a Member?
If you meet one of the following requirements, you can apply for membership with BECU:
- You live, work, worship, or attend school in Washington state
- You, or a family member, are a current or past Boeing employee, an employee at a Boeing Subsidiary or at the Museum of Flight
- You own a business located in Washington state and satisfy our business account requirements
- You are a current employee of a subsidiary or affiliate previously owned or operated in whole or in part by The Boeing Company
- You are a federal employee stationed at a Boeing Company facility
- You are an officer or full-time employee of a labor bargaining agency representing Boeing employees
- You are currently receiving, or eligible to receive, benefits from a company whose current employees are eligible for BECU membership
- You are related by descent, adoption, marriage, or domestic partnership to a person who meets one of the above criteria
Apply for Membership
You can apply conveniently online. Your application should take approximately 10 minutes to complete and you will need the following information.
- Driver's License or a Passport
- U.S. Social Security Number
- U.S. Citizenship or resident alien status
- Account information from other financial institutions that you want to switch to BECU
You must be over the age of 13 to open an account online.
Small Business Membership
Are you a business owner with an active Washington State Business License? Then you may be eligible for BECU Small Business Membership and our great Credit Union benefits. Just print and complete the application and bring it to the nearest
BECU location. Your application should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
